                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 2845
                   HARRISON PIKE, BEING ON THE NORTHWEST LINE OF
                   HARRISON PIKE SOUTHWEST OF THE WESTERN AND
                   ATLANTIC RAILROAD FROM R-1 RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO
                   R-5 RESIDENTIAL ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
             
              A tract of land located at 2845 Harrison Pike, being on
              the northwest line of Harrison Pike southwest of the
              Western and Atlantic Railroad.  An unplatted tract
              beginning on the northwest line of Harrison Pike some
              258 feet southwest of the intersection of the northwest
              line of Harrison Pike with the southwest line of the
              Western and Atlantic Railroad right-of-way, thence
              southwest some 204 feet with Harrison Pike, thence
              northwest some 388.9 feet to the southwest line of the
              Western and Atlantic Railroad right-of-way, thence
              southeast some 230 feet with said railroad right-of-way,
              thence southeast some 250 feet to the northwest line of
              Harrison Pike, the point of beginning.
             
         from R-1 Residential Zone to R-5 Residential Zone.

              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
